It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Philip Sayazie, late of Black Lake, SK on May 4th, 2023, at the age of 77 years. Philip was born in Black Lake, SK on April 4th, 1946, to Martin & Ann Sayazie. Philip will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 57 years Nancy Sayazie; his children Mary Jane (James), Linda (Jean), Brenda (Douglas), Billy Joe (Ruby), Billy John (Georgina), Freda (Harry), Bertha (Stewart), Agnes, Mary Ann, Jacob (Sarah), Helen, Laurent; his grandchildren Jamie, Bow, Creeden, Hunter, Sage, Joseph, Marshall, Sherry, Beatrice, Shauna, Branden, Issac, Billie Anne, Maykayla, Cayden, Dezmond, Brody, Blake, Stevie, Rai, Raelynn, Kayla, Sarah, Noah, Jania, Erin, Joseph, Chance, & Therese; his great grandchildren Jayden, Tristen, Serenity, Phoenix, Sophie, Neveah, Neilen, Marcy, Savannah, Bridgette, Bella, Jayda, Jaybrelyn, Leo, Elias, Jay, &Adam; his sisters Mary Ann (Boniface), Mary Jane, Dora (Thomas), Yvonne, & Pauline; his brothers Donald (Mary Jane), Jimmy (Georgina), Modest (Coreen), Joseph, Matthew (Jenny), Peter (Mary Ann), Mervin; his brothers-in-law Leon (Elizabeth), Daniel (Faye), Edwin, & Pierre (Lorraine); his sister-in-law Christine (John); as well as numerous family and friends from Black Lake, Stony Lake, Wollaston Lake, Fond Du Lac, Lac Brochet, Tadule Lake, Patunak, La Loche, Dillon, Turner Lake, & Snowdrift. Philip was predeceased by his parents Martin & Ann Sayazie; his siblings Horace Sayazie & Celine Sayazie; his uncles & aunts Edward (Madeline) Boneleye, Pierre (Sarah) Sayazie, Paul (Margaret) Sayazie, Lucia (Edward) Robillard, Madeline (Harry) Sandypoint, Cecila (Roderick) Yooya, & Eleanor (Fred) Toutsaint; his cousins Armand, Boniface (Bujule), Magalorie Sayazie, George & Edwin Boneleye; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Jean & Agnes Alphonse; his brothers-in-law Leon Cook, & Victor Disain; & his sisters-in-law Helen Disain, Therese Campbell, & Eileen Sayazie. The Wake Services will be held on Friday May 5th, 2023, at 5 PM at Parkland Hall in Prince Albert, SK, then Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at the family cabin – North of Points North, then Sunday, May 7th, & Monday, May 8th, 2023, at the residence of Nancy Sayazie in Black Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Cape in Black Lake, SK. The Officiant will be Father Paul Oshin.
