It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Freddie Lawrence Medal, late of Fond Du Lac, SK on February 10th, 2023, at the age of 67 years. Freddie was born in Fond Du Lac, SK on August 6th, 1956, to Leon & Emerance Medal. Freddie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Florence Medal; his children Frederick (Nancy) Mercredi, Franklin Medal (Doris), Filbert (Fiona) Medal, Fernanda Medal (Ivan), Francis Medal (Shannon), & Frederika Medal (Ryan); his grandchildren Chene (George), Kailey, Daniyl, Emerance, Xavieryn, Farren, Gauge, Bianca, Abbie, Carlita, Evan, Forrest, Storm, Rain, Sky, Payge (Crayton), Paul, Payden, Pacey, Payson, & Paysley; his great grandchildren Madyson Mercredi, & Kyrel Mercredi; his sisters Mary Jane McDonald, & Mary (Glen) Thompson; his brothers Albert (Rosanne) Crookedneck, Jerry Crookedneck, & Georgie Crookedneck; his nieces & nephews Rena Crookedneck, Verna Crookeneck, & Robert Crookedneck; his brother-in-law Alec (Cindy) Mercredi; his friends Louie Isadore, Arson (Florence) Mercredi, Jessie (Hawker) McDonald, Edwin (Delores) McDonald, Jules (Doris) Lidguerre, Freddy Robillard, Clifford (Rita) Lidguerre, Jimmy Isadore, May Flora (Danny) Pacquette, & Mary Ann (Gilbert) McDonald; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins & extended family. Freddie was predeceased by his parents Leon Medal & Emerance Crookedneck; his brother Charlie Medal; his brother-in-law Allan (Olga); & his parents-in-law Laurent (Madeline) Mercredi. A Wake Service will be commencing Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, at the residence of Florence Medal in Fond Du Lac, SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2023, at 2 PM at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows in Fond Du Lac, SK. The Interment will take place at the Fond Du Lac Cemetery in Fond Du Lac, SK. The Officiant will be Father Paul Oshin. The Honourary Pallbearers are all those who shared in Freddie’s life. The Pallbearers are Frederick Mercredi, Franklin Medal, Filbert Medal, Francis Medal, Clifford Lidguerre, & Arson Mercredi.
