It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Percy Issac Fourstar, late of Wahpeton Dakota Nation, SK on February 4th, 2023, at the age of 69 years. Percy was born on July 30th, 1953, in Prince Albert, SK to Robert & Mary Jane Fourstar. Percy will be lovingly remembered by his sons Percy Jr. Fourstar & Fredrick Fourstar; his stepchildren Ernest Sutherland, Dwayne Sutherland, & Linda Sutherland; his grandchildren & great-grandchildren; his brothers Leo Fourstar, & Lenord “Bunny” Ermine; his uncle Eric Bird; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, & friends. Percy was predeceased by his loving wife Noreen Fourstar; his stepson Roger Sutherland; his parents Robert & Mary Jane (nee Ballantyne) Fourstar; his brothers David Fourstar, Gordon Fourstar, & Arthur Fourstar; his sisters Evelyn Fourstar, Olive Fourstar, Doris Valentine (nee Fourstar) & Hazel Charles (nee Fourstar); & his grandfather Cedar Fourstar. A Wake Service will be held on Thursday, February 9th, 2023, at 5 PM at the Wahpeton Dakota Nation Band Hall. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, at 11 AM at the Wahpeton Dakota Nation Band Hall in Wahpeton Dakota Nation, SK. The Officiant will be Clayton Waditika. The Speaker will be Leo Omani. The Honourary Pallbearers are Larry Mann-Fourstar, Vince Primeau, Peter Parenteau, Lenord Goodvoice, Arnold Waditika, Dale Sr. Standing, Linda (Lou) Buffalo, Percy Ballantyne; Melvin Flyingbuffalo, Normen Bruce Charles; Leo Omani, Kenneth Sr. Crowe, Chief John Waditika, and all those who knew and loved Percy. The Pallbearers are Devon Daniels, Michael Fourstar, Christian Naytowhow, Tristin Fourstar, Lindsay Fourstar, & Anthony Gamble.
