It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dexter Gilbert Ermine, late of Sturgeon Lake, SK on February 1st, 2023, at the age of 40 years. Dexter was born in Prince Albert, SK on July 8th, 1982, to George Bighead & Noreen Ermine. Dexter will be lovingly remembered by his children Kadence Ermine, Dexter Jr. Ermine, & Gilbert Ermine; his special friend Jennine Turner; his parents George Bighead & Noreen Ermine; his brothers Darren (Angela) Bighead, George (Mary) Bighead Jr., Gavin (Pam) Ermine, Albert Ermine, & Charlie (Jamie) Ermine; his sisters Arlene Napope, Tracy Bighead, Chasity Ermine, & Natasha Ermine; his grandparents Victor Moosehunter, & Darlene Turner; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Dexter was predeceased by his sister Joanne Napope; his brother Darryl George Bighead; his maternal grandparents Gilbert (Martha) Ermine, & Steven R Ermine; his paternal grandparents Gordon (Christie) Bighead; & his great-grandparents Charles (Mary) Ermine, and Colin (Celina nee Daniels) Moosehunter, Louisa Moosehunter, William Bighead (Victoria Snake), and Abraham (Amelia) Hunt. A Wake Service will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, at 3 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Centre in Sturgeon Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 6th, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Sturgeon Lake Community Centre in Sturgeon Lake, SK. The Officiant will be Rev. Sam Halkett. The Eulogy will be read by Patricia Ermine. The Honourary Pallbearers are Patrick Ermine, Bradley Naytowhow, Gregory Ermine, Rodney Bighead, Gilbert Peters, Trevor Ermine, Sheldon Bighead, Robert Daniels, Gregory Moosehunter Jr., Kenny Ermine, Zephaniah Daniels, and all those who knew and loved Dexter. The Pallbearers are Dallas Bighead, Quincy Bighead, Jamie Ermine, Jonas Ermine, Byron Standing Jr., & Darren Turner. The Interment will take place at the West Central Cemetery in Sturgeon Lake, SK.
