It is with great sadness we announce the passing of William Athanas Tsannie, late of Wollaston Lake, SK on November 6th, 2022, at the age of 67 years. William was born in Brochet, MB on December 8th, 1954, to Peter and Emily Tsannie. William will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jeanette Tsannie; his children Martha, Bill (Sylvia), Moise, Daniel (Kristy Cook), John, & Juliet; his grandchildren Roberta, Roslyn, Reshawn, Richard, Ramsey, Josiah, Sage, Eleanor, Emma, Emerald, Drayden, Jennea, Kain, Deneyu, Danita, Calym, Patrick, Sharona, Jayren, Jaynen, & Jaylee; his great-grandchildren Perry John Cook, Reagan, Roselle, Antoine, Rosalie, & Robert; his siblings Margaret (Alphone), Jean (Virginia) Tsannie, Susan Kkaikka, Louie (Corrine) Tsannie, Lizette (Georgie) McKenzie, & Sylvia (Robert) Joseyounen; his nieces & nephews Diane, Glenda, Gabriella, Jaython, Patricia, Rodger, Felicia, Olivia, Shania, Jennifer, Billy, Jojo, Adam, Johnny, Danny, Julia, Connie, Colleen, Lydia, Cane, Georga, Amberly, Kenzie, Emily, Ebeny, & Everly. William was predeceased by his son John Paul Tsannie; his parents Peter & Emily Tsannie; his grandparents Jean & Suzanne Nambiennarie; his aunts & uncles Catherine Moise, Soloman Moise, Louie Nambiennarie, & Abel Denechezhe; his brothers-in-law William Kkaikka & Charlie Moise; his parents-in-law Moise & Marie Joseyounen; his friends Louise Joseyounen, Pierre St.Pierre, Ovide Hugarth, Diana Hugarth, Jaz Hugarth, Austine Tssassaze, & Steven Tssassaze. A Visitation Service will be held on Thursday, November 10th, 2022, at 2 PM at MacKenzie Chapel in Prince Albert, SK. A Wake Service will be held on Friday, November 11th, 2022, at the Senator Angus Tsannie Memorial Hall in Wollaston Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 14th, 2022, at 11 AM at St. Adrian Roman Catholic Church in Wollaston Lake, SK. The Officiant will be Father Joji Chandamala. The Honourary Pallbearers are Curtis Tsannie, Jimmy Hansen, Pat Hugarth, Phillip Josie, Ernest St.Pierre, Kevin Cone, Gabriel Benonie, Saraphine Dzeylion, Jerome Dzeylion, Alphone Dzeylion, Anne Dzeylion, David Dzeylion, and all those who shared in William’s life. The Pallbearers are Bill, Moise, Daniel, John, Juliet, Draydon, Eleanor, Emerald, Deneyu, Travis Besskkaystare, Billy Kkaikka, Rodger Tsannie, Glenda, Jayron, Jayren, Jennifer Joseyounen, James Joseyounen, & Jessie Danttouze.
