Joanne Lee Dams passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 4th, 2022, at the age of 67 years. Joanne was born on May 9th, 1955, in Birch Hills, SK to Herb & Mary Broadfoot. The family moved to Naicam when Joanne was 15 years old, and she completed her schooling there. Joanne then moved to Prince Albert, working several jobs until she secured a job at Co-op. She worked there for many years. She was blessed with a beautiful daughter Leanna Marie in 1985. Joanne married the love of her life Stan Dams in 1994 and became a full-time homemaker. Joanne and Stan moved to Candle Lake shortly after and made this their home for several years. They loved the lake in the summer, and spent many winters down in Utah, with their motor home. Stan and Joanne then moved back to Birch Hills a few years ago. Joanne is survived by her loving husband Stan; her daughter Leanna; her stepchildren Teresa, Anita, & Keith; numerous grandchildren; & her sister Wendy. Joanne was predeceased by her mother Mary (1992); her father Herb (2014) & her brother John (1968). A Graveside service will be held for Joanne at the Birch Hills Cemetery on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022, at 2 PM. Condolences can be sent to the family on our website at www.mackenziechapel.ca.
