Obituary for Nick Kalinowski

It is with great sadness the family of Nick Kalinowski, late of Prince Albert, SK announce his passing on September 11th, 2022, at home with his loving wife and family by his side at the age of 82 years. Nick was born on October 28th, 1939. Nick was an avid member of the Greek Orthodox Church for many years.
Nick enjoyed his work as a trucker. He started off with a gravel truck then progressed to pulp truck, then to a freight truck. The freight truck was used to haul freight up north and then became Kalinowski Trucking. Nick enjoyed golfing, fishing, and going to the cabin with friends. Nick and Marie had a passion for going on winter vacations to Mexico and other warm places.
Nick was a man of integrity, quick witt, kindness, & compassion. He was a loyal friend, animal lover, very passionate about dancing & music, the Prince Albert Raiders, and wine making which he enjoyed very much.
Nick was survived by his loving wife Marie; his sisters Olga Smytaniuk, Irene (Stan) Koreckyi, & Sylvia Balon; his brother Mike (Iris) Kalinowski; his sister-in-law Sylvia Kalinowski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Nick was predeceased by his maternal parents Mike Sr. (Jenny) Kalinowski; his in-laws Bill Safruk & Leona Welyholowa; his brothers Jim (Vicky) Kalinowski, Harry (Pauline) Kalinowski, Johnny Kalinowski, & Steven Kalinowski; his brothers-in-law Donnie Safruk & John Smytaniuk; his sister Sophie (Mike) Kalika, Mary (William) Balicki, Helen (Earl) Middlebrook, & Victoria Kalinowski; his nephews Greg Smytaniuk, & Eddy Boyachko; his niece Mary Strilkew.
A Funeral service will be held for Nick at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, at 10 AM, followed by the interment at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Prince Albert, SK.
