It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elsie Anne Skull, late of Black Lake, SK on July 17th, 2022, at the age of 78 years. Elsie was born in Stony Lake, SK on May 29th, 1944, to Louie & Josette Chicken. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her children Albertine Dadzene, Ernestine Skull (Jason Ratt), & Christine Skull (Jonathan Robillard); her grandchildren Angie (Ricky) Gunn, Jenny (Robert) Crookedneck, Ruby Gunn, Gina (Nathan) Gunn, Norman Dadzene, Rene Dadzene, Chris Skull, Chrissy Robillard, Jonathan Robillard, & Raye Robillard; her great grandchildren Val Gunn, Vayden Gunn, Vayda Gunn, Vierra Gunn, Avery Randile, Kyra Powder, Christy McDonald, Priscilla Tsannie; her god children Elsie Medal, Modest Sayazie, Magloire Eddibar, Doris Josie, Sandra Boneleye, Allison Sayazie, & Hazel Cheba; her sister Evelyn Joseyounen; her nieces & nephews Martha Kasyon, Doris Donard (Toby), Georgina (Orest) Cook, Lucy Robillard, Napoleon Cheba, James Cheba, Dorothy Davidson, Georgie Toutsaint, Eugene Toutsaint, Richard Toutsaint, Jerry Toutsaint, Marie Toutsaint, Martha Krawec, Alan Toutsaint, Doris (Peter) Josie, & Abraham Skull; her friends Helen Boneleye, Becky Boneleye, Anne Bigeye, Louis Bouvier, Celine Kasagan, Therese Echodh, Martha McDonald, and many more. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Moise Skull; her daughter Valentine Gunn; her grandson Ray Skull; her son-in-law Raymond Dadzene; her parents Louie (Josette) Chicken; her sister Magrete & (Joseph) Cheba; her brothers Jermin Toutsaint & Moise Toutsaint; her father-in-law & mother-in-law Thomas (Rosalie) Skull; her brothers-in-law Issac Skull Ernest (Rose) Skull, & Leon Joseyounen; her adopted son Samson Joseyounen; & her best friend Ermeline Mercredi. A Wake Service will be held on Monday, July 18th, 2022, at the residence of Christine Skull in Black Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 21st, 2022, at 2 PM at Our Lady of the Cape Roman Catholic Church in Black Lake, SK. The Officiant will be Father Paul Oshin. The Honourary Pallbearers will be Dennis Kasyon, Napoleon Cheba, Leon Joseyounen, James Cheba, Jonas Donard, August Whitedeer, Gabriel Cook, Tony Donard, Paul Donard, Rene Dadzene, and all those who shared in Elsie’s life. The Pallbearers will be Raymond Donard, Norman Dadzene, Christopher Skull, Jonathan Robillard, Ricky Disain, Nathan Powder, Vern Boneleye, Ray Cook, & Paul Cheba.
