It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Zayda Mary Jayde Mercredi, late of Prince Albert, SK on May 22nd, 2022, at the age of 17 years. Zayda was born on August 4th, 2004, in Prince Albert, SK to Shantele Mercredi and John Paul Benonie. Zayda will be lovingly remembered by her boyfriend Brannen Joseyounen; her mother Shantele Mercredi; her father John Paul Benonie; her siblings Zaiden, Zephren, & Caydence; her grandparents Ralph Randhile, JB & Marie Benonie; her uncles Carey, Joseph, Brandon, Jason, Tony, Max, Ralph Jr., Adam, Solomon (Elizabeth), Peter (Elizabeth), Boniface (Barbara), & Roy; her aunts Caroline, Illa, Angelina, Joyce, Myrna (Patrick), & Erna (Kevin); her cousins Miranda, Charlene, Charnelle, Michelle, Pason, Korin, Brianna, Bryona, Brytin, Bryston, Delina, Aiesha, Deaundray, Dustin, Dawson, Drayden, Dray, Kiana, Kailey, Kaydence, Pat Jr., Keifer, Kylie, Jonathan, Hailey, Jonelle, Shelley, Laura, Chantel, Cheyenne, Don, Michelle, Dylan, Maureen, Dale, Dion, Andrea, Leon, John, Sandra, Rhonda, John, Jacob, & Avery; her great uncles & aunts Nancy (Sylvester), Donald (Marie), Dorothy, Lucy, Doris, & Elsie; as well as numerous other great cousins, family, & friends. Zayda was predeceased by her grandmother Mary Dianne Randhile; her great grandparents Leon (Judith) Mercredi; her cousin: Dusdy Benonie; her great aunts & uncles Napoleon, John, Jimmy, Ernie, Joyce, Jerry, George, & Leon Jr.; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A Visitation Service will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, at 11 AM at MacKenzie Chapel, Prince Albert, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, at 12:30 PM at MacKenzie Chapel, Prince Albert, SK. The Officiant will be Margaret Ferchuk. Honourary Pallbearers are Angeline, Haley, Chloe, Deshawn, Emerance, Seth, Fharren, Davana, Terrace Jr., Hannah, Faith, Bryce, Starr, Daymond, Skye, Janine, Alexis, Amaya, Shakira, Madison, and all those who shared in Zayda’s life. Pallbearers are John Paul, Roy, Brannen, Zaiden, Kevin, Sylvester, Terry, & Leon. Interment will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Prince Albert, SK at 2 PM.
