Enid Eileen Taggart passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 4th, 2021 at the age of 91 years. She was born in Melfort, SK on November 13th, 1929 to Lawrence Otto and Signe Brown (Anderson). She came from a family of 7 children, 6 boys, and Enid. Her family moved to Prince Albert when she was a small girl, and she graduated from PACI in 1947. She grew up spending summers at the family cabin at Emma Lake and loved watching thunderstorms and sunsets over the water. She married Harold Fredrick Taggart in 1949 and they had six children together. According to her grandchildren, Grandma made the best grilled cheese sandwiches, mushroom soup, butter buns, butter tarts, and apple pies. She was not just a grandma, but also a best friend to all of us, someone you could talk to about anything. She always seemed to know what to say and had an answer for everything. Her work ethic and her ability to overcome any obstacles that came her way taught us that we could do anything we put our minds to. Mom enjoyed square dancing in her younger years and made her own outfits. She loved gardening and bird watching her whole life and keep her feathered friends well fed in the Saskatchewan winters. She also enjoyed woodworking, painting, and was very artistic. She loved to celebrate her children and grandchildren’s achievements, attended countless hockey, soccer, and volleyball games, field days, dance recitals, swimming events, high school, and university graduations. She enjoyed her work at S.I.A.S.T and the many warm friendships with her co-workers over the almost 30 years she worked there. She retired from the college in 1995. Enid will be lovingly remembered by her children Brenda (Ghislain) Hudon, Ronald Taggart, Terrence (Laura) Taggart, David Taggart, Shannon (Randall) Ruszkowski, and her daughter-in-law Debra Ansell. Her grandchildren Denis Hudon, Janelle Hudon, Lauriane (Jason) Hudon, Michael (Xiaoling) Taggart, Sarah (Ravin) Taggart, Melissa (Curtis) Wollman, Jason (Sarah) Taggart, David Taggart, Montana Taggart, Joel Taggart, Clayton (Grace) Ruszkowski, Otto (Bree) Ruszkowski, Linea (Dustin) Tokarski & Niklaus (Crystal) Ruszkowski. Her great-grandchildren Mara, Elowen, Max, Molly, Arin, Kingston, Kaelyn, Khloe, Kassidy, Tabitha, Alyssa, Zechariah, Ezekiel, Hunter, Raelynn, Audie, Wren, Eilee, and Wynn. Her brothers Bill (Dolyce) Brown, Patrick Brown. Her sister-in-laws Muriel, Valerie, and Muriel Brown. As well as many nieces and nephews. Enid was predeceased by her son Larry Taggart, her parents Otto & Signe Brown, her brothers Gerald Brown, Orville (Jean) Brown, Lawrence Brown, and Jack Brown. In lieu of other tribute donations in Memory of Enid may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A family graveside service and interment will be held at Memorial Gardens at a later date.
