In Loving Memory of Viola Ida Kurnoff (nee: Montgrande)
May 4/1954 - July 10/2020
It is with deep sadness the family of Viola Kurnoff announce she passed on July 10/2020 in Saskatoon after a short illness. Viola was born to Donald (Danny) Ballantyne & Bertha Montgrande on May 4, 1954 in Shellbrook, Sask.
Viola touched a lot of people's lives and would always be there for the people she cared about, whether it be to lend an ear to listen or give advice, to helping in any possible way she could to try and brighten someone else's day, regardless of her own struggles. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Viola is survived by her son, Calvin (Pam) Kurnoff
Grandchildren: Jalynn Klassen, Dante Kurnoff, Brandon Richard, Kieran Kurnoff, Kaden Richard, Kiara Richard & Kane Richard.
Sisters: Lucy (Danny) Desjarlais, Diane Longneck, Delphine Black, Elaine Eagle, Bernice (Donald) Powder, Valerie Whitehawk.
Brothers: Fletcher Noon & Sidney Ballantyne
Special Cousins: Lorraine Ermine, Matilda Ballantyne

Viola was predeceased by her son, Kevin Kurnoff, her husband, Gary Petrowich, her father Donald (Danny) Ballantyne, her mother Bertha Montgrande, Her brothers, Tommy Ballantyne, Fred Noon & Jeff Lafontaine. Cousins Marion Ballantyne, Bev Parenteau.
At the family’s request, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest with her son Kevin at Holy Cross Cemetary in Edmonton, Alberta, and a celebration of her life will be at a later date.
