It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John James Mercredi, late of Fond Du Lac, SK on February 4, 2020 at the age of 85 years. John was born on April 29, 1934 in Fond Du Lac, SK to parents: Louie and Bernadette Mercredi.
John is survived by his wife: Louise Mercredi; his children: Napoleon (Georgina), Germain, Noreen (Terry), Christine, Jenny (Brent), Tina (Matthew), Rose (Fred), Alex (Linda), Edwin, Louie (Corrine), Stanley (Tamara), Mary (Luke) and Jules (Stacy); his son-in-law: Freddie Robillard; his grandchildren: Sharon, Neil, Wanda (Devin), Gavin (Beth), Gretta, Rhonda, Greg (Rosanne), Georgette, Lorne, Gina, Cindy, Adolphus, Rebecca, John Ross, Jeremy, Josh, Jeremiah, Daniel, Elaina, Taylor, Theran, Christy, Bailey, Cody, Vanessa, Thomas, Thelma, Roxanne, Michelle, Phillip, Lynnie, Thurman, Alyx, Lorrie, Sheldon, Eric, Michelle, Carly, Haily, Isiah, Shanley, Stewart, Teagan, Seth, Sidney, James, Maria, Chasity, Carter, Alyssa and Daisy; his 34 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; his siblings: Adolphus (Debbie), Emily, Mary (Matthew), Fred (Mary), Elsie and Helen (Willie John); his sisters-in-law; his friends: Gerald B, Julian D, Joe B, Martin J, Toby L, Alfred B, Danny A, Wayne A, Modest S, Gabriel S and numerous other friends; special mention thanks to: AHA Staff, FDL Health Center Staff, TWA, PAGC and family & friends.

A Visitation for John will take place on February 6, 2020 from 4:00-6:00PM located at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Prince Albert, SK. A Wake Service will then be held on Friday February 7, 2020 located at the Residence of Louise Mercredi in Fond Du Lac, SK. A Funeral Service will then take place on Monday February 10, 2020 at 2:00PM located at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Fond Du Lac, SK.
