It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Amos Charles, late of Stanley Mission, SK, on June 3, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Edward was born in Stanley Mission, SK on March 2, 1935 to parents: Horace and Bella (Roberts) Charles.
Edward will be lovingly remembered by his sister: Anne Rose McKenzie (nee Charles); his nephews: Silas (Linda), Ahab (Emily), Philip (Rose), Harry (Nora), Douglas (Eileen), Wilfred (Flora), Eli McKenzie, John Daniel Ballantyne and Philip Nelson; his nieces: Christina (Alex) Roberts, Jean (Moses) McKenzie, Amelia (Wilson) Roberts, Rosie (Moses) Roberts, Bella (Layton) Roberts, Angelique McKenzie, Lisa McKenzie and Julia McKenzie; his god sons: Lloyd McKenzie, Bobby Charles, Weylon Charles and numerous other godchildren; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Edward is predeceased by his parents: Horace and Bella (nee Roberts) Charles; his grandsons: Dwayne and Willy Boy McKenzie; his sisters: Marjorie Eunice McKenzie and Lizzie McLeod; his brother: Malachi Charles; his niece: Jean E Charles; his brothers-in-law: Daniel McKenzie, William “Bill” McKenzie and Norman McLeod; and numerous step-brothers and step-sisters.
A Wake Service for Edward will take place on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at 5:00PM located at the home of Nora Charles in Stanley Mission, SK. A Funeral Service will then follow on Thursday June 6, 2019 at 2:00PM at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Stanley Mission, SK. Interment following the Funeral will be held at the Stanley Mission Cemetery in Stanley Mission, SK.
