Obituary for Bryan Earl Wait

Bryan Earl Wait
January 18, 1954 – November 2, 2018
Our hearts are broken by the sudden loss of our brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Bryan Earl Wait, late of Birch Hills, SK was born on January 18, 1954 to Gladys nee Willford and Sanford Wait of Waitville, SK. He attended Tiger Hill School, then Birch Hills School. For all of his life, he lived and worked in this community. He knew everyone for miles around and had a smile, big wave or a visit for everyone. He loved to visit.
As a young boy, he had a great singing voice and knew all the words to many country and western songs. Bryan’s passion was hockey. Growing up, we always listened to the games together and he would get so excited when the Toronto Maple Leafs played. Soon, he had enough neighborhood friends to recruit into his own hockey games. Faithfully, they cleaned off a dugout or any other suitable space and a “play-by-play” would begin. Eventually, you would hear Bryan holler, “He shoots, he scores!”. He spent most of his adult life painting and through that, he made many friends. He had a keen eye for choosing and matching colors. A generous and compassionate person, he helped many people whenever and wherever he could. He will be greatly missed.
Bryan was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and some cousins. He leaves to mourn his sister: Sandra (Harvey) Messner; their children: David, Jennifer, Jesse, and Jacob Messner of Moose Jaw, SK; Aaron Messner of Saskatoon, SK; Andrew and Debbie Messner of Moose Jaw, SK; and his brother and best buddy, Norman, and his family: Bonnie, Dustin, Amber, and Jordan of Birch Hills, SK; as well as many cousins.
The Memorial Celebration will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 - 2:00PM at the Lutheran/United Church complex in Birch Hills, SK. Interment will take place at the Centenary Methodist Cemetery, Birch Hills, SK. Pastor Duane Mohn will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please buy someone a coffee, have a visit with a friend or if you choose, a donation can be made to the Centenary Methodist Cemetery.
