Obituary for Randolph Brent "Randy" Cameron

Randolph Brent Cameron
January 13, 1956 - March 18, 2018

Randolph Brent Cameron, late of Mont Nebo, SK, passed away on March 18, 2018 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 62 years. Randy was born to James and Mary Cameron on January 13, 1956 at Shellbrook Hospital, Shellbrook, SK. He was the youngest of seven children. He attended grades 1 to 6 at Mont Nebo School; he attended Shellbrook High school until 1970 where upon leaving he became employed at The National Harbors Board Elevator in Churchill Manitoba where he worked for 6 years along side his father. Looking for new horizons Randy became a Corrections Officer at Saskatchewan Penitentiary Prince Albert where he retired in 2008 after 25 years of service. He retired in his hometown of Mont Nebo until sickness forced him to take up residence in PA until his passing. Randy took great pride in his two sons: Shane and Cody; he lived for them and they brought him extreme joy. He enjoyed retirement doing all those things he loved: like walking; visiting dear friends; getting winter wood out; and so many other things. He will be remembered for his genuineness; for his down to earth approach to life; his humble manner; his enjoyment of friends and family. Randy is survived by his sons: Shane of Edmonton and Cody (Nicole) of Prince Albert; his 2 sister's: Pearl Emms of Prince Albert and Rhonda Nelmes of Mont Nebo; two closest nieces: Allison Nelmes and Lisa Markling both of Prince Albert; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers: Dennis, Ronald, and Gordon; and by his sister: Marjory. Randy's ashes will be interred at a later date. Donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Division of Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street Regina, SK, S4P 2R3. A Private Family Service will be held. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium – Shellbrook Funeral Home. Brian and Bev Stobbs, Funeral Directors. www.MacKenzieChapel.ca 306.763.8488
