Audrey Joyce Palmer

Audrey Joyce Palmer, passed away at Birchview Care Home on Friday, November 10, 2017. Mom was born in Winnipeg, MB, on December 25, 1936. Mom and Dad met on a blind date and were married July 14, 1956. Mom worked for Shell Oil as an office supervisor for 5 years before starting a family and staying home to raise and care for them. Later in life mom worked at the Daily Herald stuffing flyers with her bestie Carol. Mom loved to knit making afghans for all her family even extra for great-grandchildren to come. Audrey was predeceased by her husband: Norman in 2015. She leaves to mourn her daughters: Debbie Palmer (Rick Sanderson) and her children: Kristin (Josh), Kara (Cory), and Kyle (Stephanie); Kim (Derek) Hlewka and their children: Meagan (Craig) and Mark (Carrie); her great-grandchildren: Brendan, Brooklyn, Logan, Brielle, and Brody. A very special thank you to the staff at Birchview Care Home, they became our extended family lovingly caring for mom and looking after us when we were with mom at the end.
