Obituary for Albert Egnace Zelentsky

Zelentsky, Albert 1927-2012 late of Prince Albert passed away on August 12, 2012, in Prince Albert at the age of 84 years. Albert was born to Nick & Julia Zelentsky and grew up on the farm at Samburg and attended Zamock School. Albert quit school the day he turned 15 years to farm a lifestyle he embraced for the next 60 years. He enjoyed walking in his fields and driving around on the side roads to look over crops. The morning after the June storm the first thing he said was I wonder how the farm is. I want to thank Mel and Sharon for making us welcome and letting us have our trips down memory lane. Albert married Doreen Kreutzwieser in 1971. Albert & Doreen and two pussy cats and the serenity of Samburg/Strongpine – the perfect life. Albert is survived by his wife: Doreen; his sister: Diane Markiewicz; two nieces: Debbie (Ross) Gervan and Brenda (Mike) Rushby; sister in-law: Nora Alexandersen; brother in-law: Gordon (Sue) Kreutzwieser; and their families. Albert was a very quiet private man and that is how he will be buried. Albert befriended many stray cats and anyone wishing to may make a memorial donation in Albert’s name, please do so to the SPCA Building Fund, Box 1832, Prince Albert, SK S6V 6J9. Arrangements in care of Northern Funeral Service, MacKenzie Chapel. Brian and Bev Stobbs, Funeral Directors. 306.763.8488 www.northernfuneralservice.ca
