COVID - 19

COVID – 19

At MacKenzie Chapel, we are taking steps to safeguard the health of our clients, staff, and community in response to the COVID – 19 Coronavirus. We understand things are changing daily and we are monitoring the developments. We strongly support getting together at a time of loss to support one another.

As of July 11, 2021, the Government of Saskatchewan has rescinded all public health restrictions. In response, MacKenzie Chapel will no longer be limiting numbers at services. However, we will continue taking some additional precautionary measures, these include:

  • Staff will continue to wear masks, and families are welcome to do the same
  • Families are encouraged to keep numbers at arrangements to 3-4 people
  • In addition to our routine cleaning and hygiene practices, we have intensified our sanitizing practices
  • Hand sanitizer will continue to be available
  • Families are welcome to request private and invite only services

Common Practices to Prevent Spread of Infection

  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with your arm or inner elbow
  • Practice social distancing
  • Stay home when feeling sick or unwell
  • If recently returned from traveling out of Canada, please self isolate for 14 days
  • Wear a non-medical mask in public spaces

In addition to our routine cleaning and hygiene practices, we have intensified our sanitizing practices.

From Brian, Bev, and staff at MacKenzie Chapel and Crematorium, We will be there when you need us, with an emphasis on Compassion, Caring, and Affordability.
