COVID - 19

COVID – 19

At MacKenzie Chapel, we are taking steps to safeguard the health of our clients, staff, and community in response to the COVID – 19 Coronavirus. We understand things are changing daily and we are monitoring the developments. We strongly support getting together at a time of loss to support one another. We are abiding by the Province of Saskatchewan’s restrictions on gatherings. Our Prince Albert Chapel accomodates 30 guests with social distancing, and our Shellbrook Chapel can also safely accomodate 30 guests. Listed below are a few options we are suggesting to Families:

  • Private Services by invitation only.
  • Delayed Services
    • with immediate family viewing and burial or cremation
    • Memorial Service open to the public at a later date
  • Funeral Arrangements
    • We advise clients to limit their numbers at the arrangement to a maximum of 2 to 3 people
    • Arrangements by phone (306-763-8488) or by email (Brian@mackenziechapel.ca) are available
  • For the convenience of the community we suggest sending their tributes via the obituaries at MacKenzieChapel.ca

Common Practices to Prevent Spread of Infection

  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with your arm or inner elbow
  • Practice social distancing
  • Stay home when feeling sick or unwell
  • If recently returned from traveling out of Canada, please self isolate for 14 days
  • Wear a non-medical mask in public spaces

In addition to our routine cleaning and hygiene practices, we have intensified our sanitizing practices.

From Brian, Bev, and staff at MacKenzie Chapel and Crematorium, We will be there when you need us, with an emphasis on Compassion, Caring, and Affordability.
